Rothes Wind Wind Farm consists of 22 wind turbines (WTG), a metering building, two anemometer masts, underground MV/LV cables and SCADA cables, temporary construction compounds, access and onsite tracks and associated infrastructure.

Each turbine has its own MV transformer. The wind farm is connected to the electrical grid system via 33kV underground cables to the SSE substation in Moray.

The project construction commenced in January 2004. The wind farm started full operation in May 2005
